WELINA! E komo mai! Welcome! Please come in….

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I grew up in Manoa, living in the same house over 60 years, seeing the beautiful green mountains, and reveling in the morning mist and constant rainbows. It is always truly magical driving into the peaceful valley! As a child, nature was my natural playground, and I learned a lot from my mother earth…

I grew up with the dream of becoming a doctor and helping to heal others. The world of energy was a far cry from the scientific studies of college, and I scoffed at it as “woo-woo”. As I worked in the hospital, I fell ill and suffered for over 4 years. I started my spiritual journey in 1999, discovered the world of energy, and healed myself through holistic practices. I have been teaching others how to heal themselves ever since. The world of energy is an amazing place, and I love teaching about it!

In 2011, I sold my yoga center to follow my original dream of becoming a doctor, only this time a holistic one. Instead, I ended up starting a holistic health school, licensed by the Department of Education in Hawaii. I had worked in Sedona, AZ, as the coordinator of the healer school, seeing over 1500 healers graduate into the world. It was then that I realized I could help others without having to go to medical school. The school, Quantum Institute International, opened its doors in 2013, and a massage curriculum was added in 2015, becoming Quantum School of Massage & Holistic Health. I have always been enchanted by the Hawaiian culture and way of life. I immersed myself into cultural studies, studying lomilomi by mentors such as  Kahu/Kumu Karen Leialoha Carroll (Kapuaokalani Academy); LiAnn Lilinoe Uyeda  (Aloha Lomilomi), Kapono Souza, and Enrick Ortiz of Pa Iwi Ola (Uncle Alva Andrews style of bone setting lomilomi). There are as many “styles” of lomilomi as there are practitioners.

In all of my studies, the one thing that runs throughout the teachings is that Lomilomi is more than a “massage” (technique). The main ingredient is the love of Ke Akua (the Creator), the “Aloha Spirit”, transferred through thoughts, touch, and energy. Nature and the Earth give us the greatest love of all. Lomilomi cannot be separated from that loving thread that runs through everything in our realm. Our ancestors (Kupuna) are important and still guides us in proper behavior to this day. I learn a lot from my ancestors who guide me through each and every session, and I give thanks to the one on my table to find me, and allow me to heal myself, since healing always goes both ways. I always say, “there are no accidents”, and I believe the one who finds my door, who finds their way to my table, is meant to be here for a sacred reason. I honor all who come.

I have taken what I’ve learned over the years to blend a distinctive lomilomi session that is uniquely “me”. It incorporates a custom aromatherapy blend of massage cream for each client, plus one oil specifically to address emotional issues. It also incorporates hot towels on the back to soften up the tissues that often become our “armor” and block healing from happening, along with a salt rub along the spine for purification. The final part of the session is again a customized energy clearing and balancing, using crystals, sound, and whatever else I am guided to use.
